Have you created your March cover page yet? I have my travel-themed and minimalist Bullet Journals which I have created cover pages for. In this blog, I will show you both of them and how to create them yourself!
Why I always create a cover page.
I think each month is a new start and that the cover pages in my bullet journal represent that. To create clearly defined sections in my bullet journal, I use a cover page. I keep my weekly and monthly spreads more minimal but my cover pages are a chance for me to let out some of my creativity and draw something new. I really like my March cover pages and believe they are simple enough for you to re-create at home plus no matter what type of bullet journal you have, minimalist or maximalist you can work off this.

Equipment needed:
- Pencil
- Black Fine Tipped Pen
- Watercolour Pencils
- Bullet Journal
Every month I pick another country to travel to through my Bullet Journal. This month I picked Bali. I absolutely love Bali. Did you know that Bali beaches have black sand? 80% of Bali’s economy is dependent on Tourism which makes it very hard at the moment for the country. For the first three months of their lives, babies in Bali are not allowed to touch the ground! The island itself is full of sandy beaches and volcanos.
The designs on my cover page are unique to Bali. I used bright colours that you would find around the island like the green of trees, the yellow and red you find in temples. I also added some leafs and branches which link to my minimalist journal theme.
Bali is such a lovely holiday destination and it is at the top of my list. I really enjoyed creating my cover page and I learnt so much more and connected more to Bali.

minimalistic march cover page
I have been wanting to add a pop of colour to my minimalistic spreads but keep them simple. This month I decided my natural theme would include Cherries. That allowed me to add in some red and green pops of colour through all of my monthly spreads (weekly spread, monthly spread, brain dump).
My quote of the month also slots into my theme of ‘nature’. I picked this quote –
Feel the earth beneath your feet!
As the sun starts to show itself more this month I think it is a great chance to venture outside and explore!
To make this spread I simply wrote out my lettering in pencil first and then went over it with a fine-tipped black pen. I added in some details with a white gel pen which creates a shadow effect. I drew the cherries with a pencil and added in some watercolours (red and green) to add a pop of colour! It was really simple to make but it helps me divide my Bullet Journal into months and I like to remind myself to get outside and spend time in nature. Here are some pictures of my process…
